In 2002, we opened on 3rd street and 1st avenue, and for 10 years proudly served this area of the East Village. In September 2011, we abruptly learned that a Starbucks would be taking over our lease. We had a decision to make. To leave this area and the customers we love & call friends or to open another store down the block (3rd Street & 2nd Avenue). We’ve decided to stay & fight it out.
